“Assessing Community Needs: Dayemi Foundation’s Mission in Moulavibazar, Sylhet”

At Dayemi Foundation, our promise to serving humanity drives us to continually seek out opportunities to make a meaningful impact in communities in need. Recently, we embarked on a journey to Moulavibazar, Sylhet, Bangladesh, to conduct a thorough needs assessment with the goal of initiating new projects to address pressing challenges faced by the local population.

On the 17^th of February 2024, our team made their way to Moulavibazar district, focusing our efforts on engaging with both the local community and the tea garden laborers scattered across the area. Through a series of focused group discussions and face-to-face interviews, we sought to gain firsthand insight into the struggles and hardships endured by these individuals.

The findings of our assessment shed light on a range of critical issues plaguing the community, with food insecurity, malnutrition, unsafe water, and shelter crisis emerging as primary concerns. Many individuals shared heartbreaking stories of their daily struggles to secure basic necessities for themselves and their families, highlighting the urgent need for intervention and support.

As an organization dedicated to fostering positive change, we recognize the gravity of these challenges and are committed to taking meaningful action to address them. Armed with the knowledge gleaned from our assessment, we are now poised to develop targeted initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering and improving the quality of life for the residents of Moulavibazar.

However, our work does not end here. We understand that sustainable change requires ongoing dedication and collaboration, and we are eager to partner with local stakeholders, government agencies, and fellow humanitarian organizations to maximize our impact and create lasting change.
