Ramadan Food Relief for Rohingya Refugees
Dayemi Foundation, in collaboration with Minhaj Welfare Foundation, embarked on a humanitarian mission to provide much-needed relief to the Rohingya refugee community in Camp-3, Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. On March 21, 2024, we distributed Ramadan food relief packs to alleviate the suffering of these displaced individuals.
Despite numerous logistical challenges, including limited access to the camps, tight timelines, and language barriers, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The resilience and determination of our volunteers and partners were instrumental in overcoming these obstacles.
The Ramadan food relief packs were meticulously designed to provide essential sustenance during the holy month. Each package contained:
- Staple Foods: Rice, lentils, and flour to provide energy and nutrition.
- Cooking Oil: To facilitate the preparation of meals.
- Dried Fruits and Nuts: A source of vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.
- Sugar and Spices: To enhance the taste and flavor of meals.
By distributing these essential items, we aimed to alleviate hunger and provide a sense of hope to the Rohingya refugees.
The success of this initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Dayemi Foundation and the Minhaj Welfare Foundation. By working together, we were able to pool our resources and expertise to maximize our impact.
We remain committed to supporting the Rohingya refugee community and other vulnerable communities. Through ongoing humanitarian efforts and community development initiatives, we strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
